FAQ

  • Do you use IKEA PAX?
Yes. We use IKEA PAX interiors as the foundation and transform them with bespoke external finishes to create a fully fitted, bespoke look.

  • Does it look like IKEA?
Not at all. Bespoke doors, fillers, panels, mouldings and professional finishing allow us to create a wardrobe that looks and feels completely bespoke.

  • How much does a fitted wardrobe cost?
Every project is different, but as a rough guide, our wardrobes start from around £1,400 per linear metre.
For example, a 2-metre-wide wardrobe with 4 tall doors would start from around £2,800.
A floor-to-ceiling wardrobe starts from around £1,700 per linear metre. For example, a 2-metre-wide wardrobe with 4 tall doors and 4 smaller doors above would start from around £3,400.
The final price will depend on the design, materials, finishes, lighting and other details/extras you choose. The best way to get an accurate quotation is to get in touch and tell us about your project.

  • How long does installation take?
Smaller projects usually take around 5 days to install. Larger or more detailed projects may take longer, depending on the design and scope of work.

  • Do you offer 3D designs?
Yes. Once your initial estimate has been approved and the design deposit has been paid, your project moves to the next stage. Annette Joinery Design prepares detailed 3D visuals and drawings, allowing you to see how your finished furniture will look before we begin.

  • What makes your wardrobes different from a standard IKEA PAX wardrobe?
We use IKEA PAX as the practical foundation, but the finished result is completely different. We add bespoke doors, fillers, panels, mouldings, plinths, cornices, and professional finishing to create a fully fitted piece of furniture designed specifically for your home.

  • Do you only make wardrobes?
No. We create a wide range of fitted furniture using the IKEA PAX system and bespoke joinery. This includes fitted wardrobes, dressing rooms, walk-in wardrobes, dressing tables, home offices and built-in storage solutions. Every project is individually designed to make the best use of your space and suit your needs.

  • Do you design and install kitchens?
Not yet — but we're very excited to say that towards the end of 2026, we will be introducing kitchens as a new service. Just like with our wardrobes, we will be using IKEA as the foundation and transforming it with bespoke elements, finishes and design to create a more personalised, high-end look.

  • I love your work, but I live too far away. Can I still use your design service?
